The series honors the great tradition of the past several years offering a short multi-lap course. Wakefield Park offers a prime location for this weekday event.

Inclement Weather Notice

  • The races are held subject to trail conditions and weather. In case of inclement weather, updated race status will be posted on the website by 3pm.
  • After 3pm, racers may contact PVC President Jim Carlson at 703-623-7335. Please do not call before 3pm.

Latest Changes

  • 495 CONSTRUCTION has resulted in changes for this year. We no longer have access to the gravel road next to 495, or the trail between 495 and the tennis courts.
  • REGISTRATION will be located in the open field north of the sub-station, near the boardwalk.
  • The FINISH LINE will be located near the registration area.
  • The START LINE remains in the same location at the bottom of the gravel hill near the sub-station.
  • The COURSE has been modified to include the downhill berms and switchback climbs next to them.
  • Racers in the 5:30pm race (Juniors) will not be doing the powerline climb or berm descent part of the course.
  • PARKING may be affected. Please follow the directions provided by the volunteer parking attendants.

Additional Race Info

  • Registration ends 15 minutes prior to the start of each race!!! Be there early to register.
  • Fill out the USAC Rider Release Form electronically and bring it to registration to speed things up.
  • Due to Park Authority restrictions, the race course will be run at the northern area of the park.
  • Prizes awarded to top 3 in each category. Series medals awarded at last race to top 3 in each category.
  • Experts will receive cash - 50% of expert men's gate and 100% of expert women's gate back in cash.
  • Race day registration fee of $20 (Juniors $5).
  • Helmets are required.
  • Plate numbers must be kept for the entire series. There will be a fee to issue new plates.
  • Racers must have two race finishes in a given category to be eligible for series medals.

Parking & Directions

  • This event will be held at Wakefield Park at 8100 Braddock Road in Annandale. 
  • To Wakefield Park: I-495 to exit 54A (Braddock Road West). Make first right into park entrance. (Park is immediately adjacent to the Beltway.) 
  • You may park on the right side of the gravel road that extends beyond the main road. PLEASE PARK NOSE-IN!
