Greenbrier Challenge, Mountain Bike Race

May 22, 2011

“The road to the National & Regional Championships runs through Greenbrier State Park.”

National Championship Qualifier

In 2011 the United States National MTB Championship Race will be held at Sun Valley, Idaho on July 14 – 17, 2011. But, only USAC Licensed Beginner, Sport, Expert, and Pro riders who have gained a qualification at a State or Regional Championship race (like the Greenbrier Challenge)  will receive invitations to participate.

Don’t Miss the MTB National Championships!

Since the Greenbrier Challenge is both an AMBC race and a State Championship race, the top 15 riders in each 5 year age bracket of each class at the Greenbrier race will automatically qualify, and will receive a USAC invitation in the mail/email. There are very few chances to qualify on the east coast, come to Greenbrier and you’ll have a good chance in all classes!

AMBC Race Also Gives Points in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships

The Greenbrier Challenge will be the first of 4 events in the USA Cycling sanctioned Regional Championships that include:

  • May 15, 2011 - Tymor Park Challenge AMBC, Lagrangeville, NY
  • May 22, 2011 - Greenbrier Challenge AMBC/MD State Championships
  • Jul 17, 2011 - Bulldog Rump AMBC, Andover, NJ
  • Aug 14, 2011 - Bear Creek Challenge AMBC/PA State Championships, Allentown, PA
