The 2011 Wednesdays @ Wakefield Race #3 Results are now posted to the W@W Events page. Thank you to everyone who came out for all three races in the series so far. One race remains! We're looking forward to fantastic finale this coming Wednesday, July 13th! And if you haven't raced yet, come give it a try. We're highly expecting the Single-Speed racers to continue the tradition of "dressing in drag" for the final W@W of the year! Should be quite a show!

The 8th Annual running of the Greenbrier Challenge Mountain Bike Race went off without a hitch today! To the riders, to the volunteers, to the announcers, to the timers, to the marshals, to the families, and even to the weather — we would like to offer a hardy “Thank You” for making this race one of the best in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships series! Potomac Velo Club volunteers managed to wrangle 400+ mountain bike racers over a combined total of 5,000+ miles of accumulated trail without any major injuries, protest, or even bent whatever. Thank you for another great GBC and we look forward to racing with you again at our 10th annual Wednesdays at Wakefield MTB racing series planned for June 22, June 29, July 6, and July 13!
About Potomac Velo Club
Potomac Velo Club was founded in 1992 to promote the sport of cycling. Based in Northern Virginia, membership consists of riders at all levels of cycling experience. Some members have been on the racing scene for 20 or 30 years, others are just starting out. Some excel on the road, others venture into mountain biking, cyclocross and even track arenas. Membership is open to all, no specific skills or experience is required.
One of Potomac Velo Club's strongest features is the promotion of yearly cycling events consisting of mountain bike and cyclocross races. Potomac Velo Club promotes a spring regional level USA Cycling AMBC mountain bike race, a summer mountain bike race series at Wakefield Park and a fall UCI cyclocross race.
