The Greenbrier Challenge will be the first of 4 events in the USA Cycling sanctioned Regional Championships that include:
- Greenbrier Challenge/MD State Championships
April 29, 2012 - Iron Hill Challenge, Newark, DE
May 6, 2012 - 17th Annual Bulldog Rump/ NJ State Championships
July 15, 2012 - Bear Creek Challenge/PA State Championship (Finals)

February 02, 2012 - MARC Race #1
The Greenbrier Challenge will once again be the Maryland State Championship race and award USAC State Champion Titles and Medals to the top 3 Licensed finishers in each class. State Championship medals & titles will be awarded to riders from ANY STATE !

greenbrier.potomacvelo.com! The Greenbrier Challenge starts Sunday morning, April 29, 2012, at 8:00 AM. Make sure you know which class you plan on racing in and if your class — in the case of all Expert riders — requires your to have a USA Cycling MTB license to compete! Just in case you were wondering, Marathon, Beginner, Junior, Sport, Single Speed or Clydesdale classes do not need a license to compete! Race day events will also include mechanical support by or main sponsor The Bike Lane, Food Concessions, and even hot showers and changing rooms available.
About Potomac Velo Club
Potomac Velo Club was founded in 1992 to promote the sport of cycling. Based in Northern Virginia, membership consists of riders at all levels of cycling experience. Some members have been on the racing scene for 20 or 30 years, others are just starting out. Some excel on the road, others venture into mountain biking, cyclocross and even track arenas. Membership is open to all, no specific skills or experience is required.
One of Potomac Velo Club's strongest features is the promotion of yearly cycling events consisting of mountain bike and cyclocross races. Potomac Velo Club promotes a spring regional level USA Cycling AMBC mountain bike race, a summer mountain bike race series at Wakefield Park and a fall UCI cyclocross race.
